About the Artist…
I am a child of the 80s - a lover of art and hip-hop music, the two have played an intrinsic part in my life over the years.
I grew up for many years in a low-income household. Good education and extracurricular activities were a luxury we could not afford.
Life was often difficult and tough, but despite the challenges two things remained a constant - creativity and music.
I was naturally drawn to hip-hop as a child influenced by my older sister and brother.
Hearing hip-hop as a child in the 80s was huge for me personally, the music I heard was what I knew - it was a connection with others who struggled with privation and racial inequalities.
I was a teenager in the best era of hip-hop, the golden era, 90s hip-hop in particular is where I draw a lot of inspiration for the artwork on this page.
I have dabbled in many different mediums and styles over the years, however, I am always drawn to portraits as my choice of subject. The more unique a person’s characteristics the better.
I really hope that you enjoy the art that I create and hope that you follow my journey as it unfolds…
Thank you for visiting my website.
About the art….
I create unique hand-drawn artworks of a variety of hip-hop artists and release each drawing in small limited edition batches of 50 prints per piece which are mounted and framed in three choices of colours.
Each print released is numbered, signed and certified as a genuine print.
5% of sales will be donated to Change the Record - a foundation that campaigns to end the incarceration and violence against, Aboriginal and Torrens Strait Islander people.
I aim to regularly produce new artworks that will be available to purchase on my website.
Although I am inspired by the 80s and 90s era of hip-hop I am not limited and will be releasing some new-era pieces in the not-too-distant future.
Please follow my journey on the platforms linked on this page to see works in progress and join the conversation by letting me know what musicians and producers inspire you and your love for the culture.
